Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Tarangire National Park

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by your friendly Impala Explorer safari guide. After a briefing, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its breathtaking landscapes dotted with giant baobab trees and vast elephant herds. On your first game drive, you’ll witness the park’s incredible diversity, from majestic lions and leopards to giraffes, wildebeests, and hundreds of bird species. A picnic lunch will be served in the park, followed by more wildlife viewing before checking into your lodge or tented camp. As the sun sets, relax with a delicious dinner while listening to the distant calls of the wild.

Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, embark on a scenic journey through the Ngorongoro Highlands toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you’ll pass Maasai villages and dramatic landscapes. Upon entering the Serengeti, the endless golden plains will greet you, often dotted with wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles. This afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in the Serengeti, where predators such as cheetahs, hyenas, and lions roam in search of prey. Dinner and overnight will be at a carefully selected Serengeti lodge or camp, where the starlit African skies create an unforgettable backdrop.

Day 3: Full Day Serengeti Safari

Today is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti’s incredible wildlife. Rise early for a sunrise game drive—this is the best time to witness predators hunting and animals grazing in the cool morning air. Depending on the season, you might see the Great Wildebeest Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains in one of nature’s greatest spectacles. With your experienced Impala Explorer guide, you’ll track lions lounging on kopjes, elephants feeding in acacia woodlands, and giraffes strolling across the savannah. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the heart of the park before continuing your adventure. In the evening, return to your lodge or camp for a hot shower, dinner, and stories by the fire.

Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Your journey will take you to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five. Descend 600 meters into the crater for an exciting full-day game drive. The crater floor is a natural paradise, home to elephants, buffalo, hippos, lions, hyenas, flamingos, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the hippo pool before continuing your exploration. In the evening, ascend the crater rim and transfer to your lodge in Karatu or on the crater rim for overnight.

Day 5: Ngorongoro – Arusha – Fly to Zanzibar

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before returning to Arusha. Depending on your schedule, you may stop for local shopping or a cultural tour. Later, board your short flight to the magical island of Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your beachfront resort where the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean await. Spend the evening relaxing by the pool or beach as you settle into island life.

Day 6: Zanzibar – Stone Town & Spice Tour

Start the day with a guided Stone Town tour, exploring its labyrinth of narrow streets, lively markets, and historical landmarks such as the Sultan’s Palace, Old Fort, and House of Wonders. After lunch, continue with a Spice Plantation Tour, where you’ll learn about and sample Zanzibar’s world-famous spices such as cloves, nutmeg, cardamom, and vanilla. This is a sensory journey filled with tastes, aromas, and cultural stories. In the evening, transfer to your beach resort and enjoy a candlelit dinner by the ocean.

Day 7: Zanzibar Beach Leisure & Optional Excursions

This is a day of pure relaxation. Bask on Zanzibar’s powdery beaches, swim in the warm Indian Ocean, or sip cocktails under swaying palm trees. For the adventurous, Impala Explorer can arrange optional excursions:

Day 9: Departure from Zanzibar
