8 Days Lemosho Route

Lemosho Route Kilimanjaro Climb with 96% summit success rate, the Lemosho Route is a longer route on the mountain with low traffic; this route can be done from seven days optional climbers take 8 Days for a good acclimatization to wide a summit success.


Day 1: Drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will start with a drive to Londorossi Gate where you will start with a day one trek. You will begin from the gate which is at 1830m to 2650you’re your first stop in the Mti Mkubwa camp. This will be 6km distance passing through montane forest climate taking you 2-3 hours to reach the camp.

Day 2: Hike Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp

On this day in the morning you will have breakfast at the camp which is at 2650m high. Thereafter you will ascend to the next camp at 3500m high passing through moorland habitat. You will trek for 8km taking you 4-5 hours to reach the Shira 1 camp where you will have dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Hike Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

You will have breakfast at the camp then you will move 8km more from the camp passing through moorland habitat. This is the height from 3500m to 3850m high taking you 4-5 hours to reach the Shira 2 camp. At the camp you will have dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Hike Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp

After having heavy breakfast you will trek for 5-6 hours covering 8km from the camp. this the height from 3850m to 4000m high through Semi- desert climate arriving at the Barranco camp. At the camp you will have dinner and overnight. 8 days Lemosho route

Day 5: Hike Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Your day five Kilimanjaro Climb will start after breakfast, you will hike from the Karanga Camp at 4000m high moving 5km ahead to 4050m high. This will take you 3-4 hours passing through Alpine desert climate to reach the Karanga valley camp, at the camp you will have dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Hike Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

A day will start just after breakfast; you will start a very short day with gentle gradual hiking up the base camp Barafu Camp. This will take you 3-4 hours covering 4km through Alpine desert climate; this is the height from 4050m to 4700m dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Hike Barafu Camp to Mweka Camp

Just after a mid-night, you will have a breakfast at the camp in the morning you will trek 5km from the camp moving from 4700m to 5895m high reaching the summit. You will spend some few minutes a t the camp then descend 13km to 3090m high. This will take you 5-7 hours ascending and 5-6 hours descending through Stone scree and ice-capped summit region. You will stop at the Mweka camp where you will have dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Hike Mweka Camp to Moshi

This day begin you last chapter of your trekking adventure to the summit of Africa, you will have breakfast first the descend 10km below to 1680m high reaching the gate via montane forest habitat. This will take you 3-4 hours to reach the gate where at the gate you will receive you trekking certificate. When you reach a park gate our driver guide will pick and drive you back to your hotel in Moshi.

8 Days Lemosho Route Price

→1 – Trekker $ 2200.
→2 – 3 Trekkers $ 2120 per person.
→4 – 6 Trekkers $ 2060 per person.
→8 – 10 Trekkers $ 2010 per person.
